8/15 - Disneyland, Paris
Similar to California there are also two parks in Disneyland Paris, with the second being the Walt Disney Studios park. Our second day in the parks was spent here and we had an absolute blast - especially because its as a completely new park for us with attractions that we had never seen or experienced before (except for Tower of Terror). Walking into the park, we found that the main theme of the park is Hollywood, with “studio” buildings, camera equipment, and more staged throughout the area. In addition to rides, the park featured many “behind the scenes” attractions that allowed us to experience movie magic. It was actually really nice to split up the activities of the day between exciting rides like “Crush’s Coaster” or “RC Racer”, and the more relaxed attractions/shows like “Mickey and the Magician” (a phenomenal live-action play) and “Animation Studio”.
We switched on and off between the “fast” and “slow” attractions and by the end of the day we were exhausted. Our favorites were RC Racer, Ratatouille ride, and, of course, the Hollywood Tower of Terror ride. Sadly, it was the probably the last time that we will ever be able to ride the Tower of Terror as Disney is removing it from their parks… Overall, the park was incredible and definitely rivals California Adventure!
Even though the Studios park closed at 9:00 PM, we still had some life left in us, and we raced to Magic Kingdom to to get in a couple rides before its closer at 11:00 PM. We skipped the Dreams show at close in order to get avoid the crowds and made it back to the hotel before midnight to rest up for our third and final day.
