Day 90: Hanging out at Google Campus Warsaw.

Having yet to visit the co-working space at the Google Campus Warsaw location, we decided to make it our work location for the day - taking a bus there after another amazing breakfast at Charlotte’s. Dropping us off on the other side of the river near the brick buildings location, we walked the rest of the way and checked in at the visitor’s desk. Membership was fortunately free (unlike Punspace) and we were welcomed through the main door and into the common area on the first floor.

The space was buzzing with a great vibe and energy and there were many people on their computers at the various tables, desks, and couches spread coffee-room common area. Leading out of the first room there was a hallway that branched off into half a dozen meeting/work-space rooms before reaching the bathroom and kitchen areas. The first floor was open to “community” members like Lauren and I, with the other two floors of the building being reserved for actual Google employees and members who rented private offices at the campus. Overall it was a pretty cool place!

We grabbed a table in the coffee room area and opened up our computers to hop onto the wi-fi. We had heard rumors from a blogger who visited the campus the month prior that the internet speeds were insanely fast, and fast they proved to be. Running a speed-test the Download and Upload streams clocked in at over 500 mbps each! It was the fastest internet speeds that Lauren and I had ever seen before. With speeds this fast, uploading and downloading would be done in a snap!

Launching back into our projects we worked for the rest of the day until we got hungry. We let Google Maps recommend a restaurant to us again like the night before and were pleasantly surprised again! Heading to a place called Boska that was just a short walk from the campus we discovered another urban-chic styled restaurant that sported another delicious looking menu. We ordered the beef cheeks (me) and the chicken (Lauren) and were blown away again. The previous nights meal was a 9/10, tonights meal was an 11/10. In addition to delicious food, the final bill at each of these restaurants has come in under $30 for two people - including drinks!

Unfortunately, Lauren couldn’t enjoy her meal as much as she would have liked due to a bout of IBS which proceeded to get worse and worse as dinner went on. Rather than take the bus back, we grabbed an Uber to take us directly home to spend the rest of the evening relaxing.
